Chipton-Ross is seeking a Conference Support Specialist for a contract opportunity in Crystal City, VA. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE): High school diploma or equivalent required.1-2 years of experience in a related field (hospitality, events, or customer service).Ability to lift 25 pounds and stand for long periods.Attention to detail and ability to multitask.Excellent communication and customer service skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Conference Support Specialist to provide support with catering, conference room setup, and daily coffee service. The successful candidate will work 20 hours a week, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM, with every other Friday off due to our 9X80 schedule.Key Responsibilities:1. Catering Support:Pick up catering deliveries in the lobby and set up food as needed for working meals.Supervise catering setup for larger events with 75+ attendees, including clean up after meals conclude.Catering events are expected 3-4 times per week, including breakfast, lunch, and evening receptions.2. Daily Coffee Service:Serve as backup to set up daily coffee service in common areas as needed, including:Brewing coffee.Setting out hot water for tea. Ice water.Replenishing during the day as needed.Visitor count ranges from 5 people to over 200 people daily, with this task expected to be needed 2-3 times per month.3. Conference Room Setup:Assist with setting up conference rooms and modular spaces to support customer meetings, including:Setting up 5-foot round tables and chairs for events up to 200 attendees.Configuring modular spaces with daisy-chained tables.Setting up registration tables, speaker panel chairs, 6-foot tables, and lecterns as needed.4. Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory of beverage service supplies, including:Coffee.Coffee filters.Coffee condiments.Notify the appropriate personnel when inventory is running low.5. Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain cleanliness and orderly workspaces, kitchens, and storage rooms.6. Communication:Participate in daily calls to discuss meeting setup requirements and ensure seamless execution of events.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE): PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to lift 25 pounds.Ability to stand for long periods.Ability to move around the facility as needed.The work environment is a professional office setting with a fast-paced and dynamic atmosphere.The noise level is typically moderate, with some periods of high noise levels during events.REQUIRED EDUCATION: Accredited High School Diploma or GED.WORK HOURS: Part-Time20 hours a week, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AMEvery other Friday off due to our 9X80 schedule
