The Marketing & Sales Assistants's primary function is to work cooperatively with the Director of Marketing to develop and execute the park's sales and marketing strategies and tactics. This position will develop a broad understanding of marketing and communication practices that maximize attendance, revenue, and guest experience.This position is also responsible for assisting Sales & Marketing leadership with a variety of marketing duties as they relate to Noah's Ark.This position is available for internship credit.We are currently looking for a:Noah's Ark - Marketing & Sales Assistant - SeasonalRoles & Responsibilities:Roles & Responsibilities:Lead and complete special projects and initiatives related to marketing, sales, and content creationParticipate in the development of marketing and communication initiatives and campaignsBe the primary contact for addressing phone calls and emails from guests regarding general park questions and concernsCheck-In and assist groups at ticket booths and ensure accuracy of admission and ticket pricingRoutinely greet guests at the front gate and provide guidance and assistance to enhance their experiencePerform various sales duties including prospecting new leads and developing group sales campaigns using e-mail, direct mail and cold callingAssist with the planning and execution of large-scale events in the park including set up, event management and post-event dutiesDeliver tickets, check in groups, serve as primary point of contact for groups and respond to guest service inquiries in person, on the phone and onlineManage client database including information pertaining to sales leads, inquiries, lost business and sales revenueCompose and distribute various forms of written communication such as press releases, social media posts, reports, creative briefs, and website contentDesign effective and creative media, including in-park signage and website, email, social, print assets, and other contentProvide excellent guest service for guests visiting the park or inquires onlineServe as a brand ambassador for partners, media, and guestsMaintain composure and a high degree of professionalism when handling and/or responding to negative feedbackParticipate in the development of marketing strategies and communication initiativesAssist with market research and data analysisCommunicate with consignment and hotel partners and assist with delivery of ticketsAssist with invoicing and payment collection for groups, consignment partners, and other partnersAll other duties assigned by leadershipEducation and Experience:Currently majoring in (or graduated with) with a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or related discipline if wanting internship credit1+ year of related experience highly desired but not requiredPrevious amusement park, theme park, or waterpark experience a plusLanguage: Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English Spanish or other bilingual language skills are a plus.Requirements: Must be at least 18 years of age to comply with Wisconsin Child Labor LawsAbility to work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, open to closeMust possess exceptional customer service skills, with an ability to resolve questions, problems, issues, and concerns in a positive and professional mannerAbility to handle high-pressure situations, meet the demands of constant deadlines and coordinate multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.Ability to directly engage with customers and other web media resourcesAbility to write content in a clear, concise and professional mannerMust be comfortable speaking in front of large groupsMust possess technical knowledge of HTML and web publishing.Previous knowledge of SEO and web traffic metrics.Ability to learn and use Salesforce CRMMust be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point.Must possess strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to use office technology and equipment, such as PC, software, copier, and telephoneAbility to follow direction, multi-task, and work as part of a team as well as independentlyPhysical Requirements:Ability to remain seated for extended periods of time, while using a computerAbility to stand, walk, and remain on feet for long periods of time throughout the dayAbility to occasionally stoop, twist, kneel, bend, squat, or reach above shouldersAbility to carry, push, pull, lift, and hold objects weighing 20 pounds or moreWorking Conditions:This role will be primarily based in an office setting with frequent interaction with other outdoor park locationsFrequent exposure to the variable outside temperatures, including high heat, cold, direct sun, humidity, dust, rain, pollen and other weather conditionsSubject to frequent interruptions, constant repetitive motion, high noise levels, flashing lights, and heavily populated environmentsTeam member benefits:Working at Noah's Ark is about making people happy!
