Complete start-up of extrusion equipment at the start of each shift.Complete shut-down, including cleaning all material out of the barrel, at the end of each shift.Set-up, monitor and adjust water trays to cool materialSet-up, monitor and adjust equipment speed and temperature in response to start new runs and correct in-process quality concernsReview work orders, prioritize jobs and schedule extrusion equipment accordingly.Complete visual quality inspections on work-in-progress and finished productMeasure and ensure dimensions of work-in-progress and finished productPackage and label completed work-in-progress and finished productLoad material and operate material dryersPerform preventive maintenance and general repairs to extruding equipmentComplete material handling of all materials to and from extrusion work areaRecord completion of production and quality checks on production logsRequired Abilities: Read and follow written and visual work instructionsAbility to operate a forkliftUse and read calipers, micrometers and tape measuresUse common hand tools (wrenches, exacto knife, hammer)Understanding of wire and ability to confirm wire type by counting strands and measuring diameterUse air toolsOperate a blow torchPhysical Capabilities: Ability to lift 50 to 55 pounds (frequently)Ability to visually identify fine details for completion of quality checksAbility to lift 75 pounds (infrequently)Work Area Environment: Works with raw material and tooling equipment that is heated to high temperatures Shift: 2:00pm to 10:30pm Monday-Friday Benefits:Health insurance Dental insurance Vision InsuranceLife insurance 401(k) 401(k) matching Paid time off Employee assistance program Referral program Tuition reimbursementShift: 8-hour shiftWork Location: In person, Company does not provide relocation assistance.Central Wire Group of Companies is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
