Digital Hardware Design Engineer Location: Scottsdale, Arizona Type: Contract Job #87711 Our DoD/Aerospace client is looking to fill a Digital Hardware Design Engineer position that just opened in Scottsdale, AZ. In this role, you will support the development of secure, mission-critical hardware used in tactical and defense communication systems. To be considered, you will have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related STEM field plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience (or a Master's degree with 3 years of experience). U.S. citizenship is required due to the nature of the work. Location: Scottsdale, AZ - onsite Position: Digital Hardware Design Engineer Contract: 12 months with possibility of going direct Pay: $58.38/hour Schedule: First /Second Shift CLEARANCE: Department of Defense Secret security clearance must be obtainable. In this role you will use your technical and interpersonal skills to: Design and develop digital hardware for tactical and defense communication systems Perform schematic capture and PCB/PWB layout for digital subsystems Work with ARM processors, microcontrollers, and high-speed memory interfaces (DDR3, DDR4, LPDDR4) Design and integrate digital interfaces such as I2C, SPI, and SDIO Support hardware bring-up, debug, and verification using laboratory test equipment Collaborate with software, mechanical, manufacturing, and test engineering teams Support the full product lifecycle including design for manufacturing and design for test Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related STEM field required Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; OR Master's degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience U.S. citizenship is required Clearance Requirements: Secret clearance obtainable Applicants selected may be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information Knowledge Skills And Abilities: Digital schematic capture and PCB/PWB layout experience Experience with high-speed digital design and memory interfaces Proficiency with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and logic analyzers Experience with Siemens Xpedition or similar EDA tools Strong understanding of hardware development lifecycle (DFM/DFT) Knowledge of signal integrity and power integrity analysis Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to collaborate across cross-functional engineering teams Experience mentoring or supporting junior engineers is a plus About our client: Our client is a mission critical DoD - Aerospace defense contractor developing solutions that will lead, serve, and protect our country.
