Vice President - (EHV) Transmission & Distribution (250kV-500kV) Position Summary The Vice President of Extra High Voltage (EHV) Transmission & Substation is responsible for the strategic growth, operational leadership, and financial performance of 250kV-500kV transmission line and substation EPC operations within the region. This executive leader will drive expansion of high-voltage infrastructure programs, oversee complex utility-scale projects, and ensure operational excellence across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities. This role provides executive oversight to regional operations leadership and project teams, with a strong emphasis on safety, client development, financial performance, and regulatory compliance. The Vice President will play a critical role in positioning the organization as a premier EPC partner for complex EHV transmission and substation programs. Essential Functions Strategic Leadership Develop and execute strategic growth initiatives within the 250kV-500kV transmission and substation market. Identify and pursue expansion opportunities across utility and infrastructure sectors. Lead long-term planning, capital forecasting, and market positioning efforts. Operational & Project Oversight Provide executive-level oversight of EHV transmission line and substation EPC projects from early-stage development through commissioning. Ensure projects meet technical specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and regulatory compliance. Drive operational consistency and best practices across engineering, field construction, and program management teams. Financial & P&L Management Maintain full P&L responsibility for the EHV Transmission & Substation business unit. Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cost controls, and margin performance. Implement financial governance practices to manage risk and enhance profitability. Client Development & Relationship Management Serve as executive sponsor for key utility and infrastructure clients. Develop and maintain strong relationships with senior client stakeholders. Lead contract negotiations and support long-term service agreements and program awards. Safety & Regulatory Compliance Champion a culture of safety excellence across all office and field operations. Ensure strict adherence to OSHA, NERC, FERC, and other applicable industry regulations. Promote environmental compliance and responsible construction practices. Leadership & Talent Development Lead and mentor directors, construction managers, engineering leaders, and project executives. Build and scale high-performing teams capable of delivering complex EHV programs. Develop succession planning and workforce development strategies. Performance Monitoring & Risk Management Monitor key performance indicators including schedule adherence, cost performance, safety metrics, and quality standards. Identify operational risks and implement mitigation strategies. Oversee claims management and contract risk evaluation. Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical discipline (Master's degree preferred). 15+ years of progressive leadership experience within high-voltage transmission and/or substation EPC operations. Demonstrated experience managing 250kV-500kV transmission and Distribution projects. Proven executive-level P&L accountability. Strong understanding of EHV design standards, construction methodologies, and regulatory frameworks. Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams across geographically distributed regions. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and executive leadership skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications Strong strategic and business acumen. Experience managing large, multi-project program portfolios. Ability to operate effectively in high-growth, performance-driven environments. Advanced financial analysis and forecasting capabilities. Proficiency in project management and enterprise reporting systems. Work Environment Office-based with frequent travel to project sites and client offices within the region. Exposure to active EHV construction environments including substations and transmission corridors. Occasional exposure to outdoor conditions and elevated noise levels at project sites.
