This position is located at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD.Schedule: On-call rotation supportAddress: Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD.Salary Range: $110-115K AnnuallyResponsibilities & DutiesThe Senior Facilities Management Specialist provides technical leadership, operational oversight, and strategic planning for mission-critical mechanical, electrical, and infrastructure systems supporting High Performance Computing (HPC) and data center environments.This role ensures 24/7 operational readiness of critical infrastructure including chilled water plants, HVAC systems, power distribution systems, backup generation, and building automation systems while leading facilities personnel, managing contractor performance, and supporting large-scale infrastructure modernization projects.This position serves as a primary interface between customers, engineering teams, subcontractors, and leadership to ensure facility reliability, compliance, and mission success.Mission Critical Infrastructure OperationsProvide 24/7 engineering support for HPC data center infrastructureOversee maintenance and repair of: Chiller Plants (Centrifugal and Air-Cooled) CRAC / CRAH Systems Air Handling Units and Condensing Units UPS and Power Distribution Equipment Generators and Transfer Switches Switchgear and Power Monitoring SystemsSupport BAS platforms including Metasys, Tracer, and SiteScanEngineering & Technical AuthorityReview mechanical and electrical submittals for construction and modernization projectsProvide engineering recommendations for reliability and redundancy improvementsSupport large-scale data center build-outsTroubleshoot complex refrigeration, electrical, and control system failuresContracting, Procurement & Financial OversightAcquire, review, and submit facilities contracts for funding approvalManage vendor performance and service deliveryProcure equipment, parts, and facility support materialsTrack inventory, lifecycle maintenance schedules, and asset managementCustomer & Mission InterfaceServe as primary facilities liaison to government and program leadershipProvide technical risk assessments and cost-effective solution recommendationsSupport mission uptime requirements for DoD RDT&E HPC operationsExperience Requirements 3+ years facilities, data center, or mission critical infrastructure experienceSupporting HPC or high-availability environmentsSupporting construction or infrastructure upgradesTechnical KnowledgeAdvanced HVAC and Chilled Water SystemsPower Distribution and Emergency Power SystemsBAS / Controls SystemsElectrical and Mechanical TroubleshootingBlueprint and Submittal ReviewEducational RequirementsCandidate must possess an active Secret Clearance.
