This role will play a key part in facilitating the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) cycle, aligning demand and supply plans, and optimizing inventory levels to achieve customer service and purchasing objectives at the Eastlake Brass Plant. The role is responsible for high levels of data accuracy and analysis to align demand and supply plans. Planner will oversee production & purchasing planning at the manufacturing plant in Eastlake. Support root cause analysis and implementation of strategies with site MES & ERP/MRP. Support the reduction of costs while increasing efficiencies under the direction of the Materials Manager.Responsibilities:Prioritize and release work orders and purchase orders based on Master Production Schedule & MRP recommendationsSupport Production Scheduling through visual systems, MRP, and Shop Floor ControlIdentifying opportunities for improvements in existing MES processes, modeling, documentation, and training to optimize workflow and efficiencyReview and analyze the forecast demand versus actual demand, understanding changes and trendsAnalyze MRP and purchase plans based on system recommendation.Conduct root cause analysis of any stock out situations in the plant from a purchasing standpointAnalyze and interpret supply chain data such as SIOP, shipments, and delivery times, costs, and inventory levelsMeasure, control, and improve S&OP plan accuracy at plant through clearly defined metricsDevelop and implement data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and data quality.Analyze capacity plans to ensure plants can meet sales forecasts and demand in production planning and execution.Focus on order planning, PO delivery, and inventory controlLead production & purchasing planning at Eastlake brass plant.Analyze production capacity and adapt schedules to meet customer needs and optimize utilizationCommunicate production changes, deviations from schedule, and updates to manager.Assist in facilitating S&OP meeting cadence for PlantResponsible for oversite of metric and status reporting to leadership.Process improvements that result in realized cost savingsAssist with data analysis for materials, operations, and engineering groups to ensure effectiveness of processes, reduce costs, and management inventoryCreate and maintain Standard Operating Procedures & Operational PlansCollect and interpret analytical and performance dataOther duties as assigned by supervisorQualifications and Requirements:4-year supply chain, commercial operations, IT, or business management degree preferredWorking knowledge of ERP or other materials management systems- experience with Dynamics 365, Infor, and AS400 is a plus.Working knowledge of MES systemsExperience with SQL, Excel Queries & Formulas, and Power BI needed.Experience in LEAN and Six Sigma techniques and practices is a plus.Excellent Communication skills, verbal and written expected.Understands the concept of Bills of Materials, Material Orders/Work Orders executed within a manufacturing environment. Understand use of MRP in production & purchasing planning.Requires repetitive upper body movement - keyboard and monitor use
