Our Food Service team plays a vital role in creating a positive dining experience for students while promoting health and wellness. Position Summary: We are seeking dependable and flexible Food Service Substitutes to assist in school cafeterias as needed. Substitutes will work in a variety of roles including food preparation, serving, and cleanup. Assignments may vary by school, depending on district needs. Responsibilities: Assist with preparing and serving meals according to district menus and nutrition guidelines. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in food preparation and serving areas. Operate kitchen equipment safely and responsibly. Help with dishwashing, sweeping, mopping, and other cleanup tasks. Provide friendly, respectful service to students and staff. Follow all district food safety, health, and workplace policies. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in food service or kitchen work is helpful but not required. Ability to lift, carry, and move supplies/equipment (up to 30 lbs). Strong work ethic, dependability, and willingness to learn. Flexibility to adapt to different school sites and cafeteria roles. Schedule & Compensation: Flexible, on-call scheduling based on district needs. Hours may vary by school site.
