Water/Wastewater Utility Inspector

Our combination of talent and experience generates unprecedented solutions for diverse and iconic projects around the globe.**Position available to be based out of any of Pennoni's Maryland/Washington metro area offices for work located in Baltimore, Annapolis, Howard County, Prince George's County and Montgomery County**Pennoni Associates is current seeking a Construction Inspector. with experience consistent, but not limited to:Inspect assigned water & sewer lines to ensure compliance with municipal requirements, specifications, and contracts.Inspect utility & related construction projects for compliance with plans, specifications, and standards.Provide documentation of project work activity, equipment utilized, and manpower for projects.Measure and record completed work.Conduct walk-through visits to inspect completed and in-progress work sites.Provides relevant information to Developers, Contractors, and/or other interested parties (when authorized to do so).Work construction hours (which may include overtime) and in inclement weatherAbility to lift objects up to 50 lbsObtain and maintain inspection certifications, such as MARTCP, WACEL, ACIUse of standard computer software (Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word, use of iPads and Laptops)Additional duties may be assigned, as needed.BASIC REQUIREMENTS:At least 3 years of professional experience working in field-based construction inspection.The candidate will be expected to work in the field, and must possess a Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Completion of an Associate degree (or higher) in an Engineering-oriented or Construction Management field of study Experience working with water, wastewater / sewage, and/or stormwater resourcesExperience with Traffic ControlHolds current MARTCP, ACI, WACEL, or NICET certificationsKnowledge of WSSC standardsKnowledge of Maryland State Highway Administration standards Knowledge of Prince George's and Montgomery County standardsExperience with paving projects, site grading, and Erosion & Sediment ControlProven ability to demonstrate responsibility and honesty, especially in a dependable manner.Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).TARGET PAY RANGE: $28 - $43 (per hour)Contributing to the health and well-being of team members is a top priority for Pennoni; therefore, we designed our benefits package to exceed industry norms while providing our team members with exceptionally competitive and comprehensive benefits.
