Operating across diverse product categories, we bring thoughtful design and innovation to everyday life.Headquartered in Irvine, CA with global operations, we are a highly collaborative organization where design plays a central role in shaping products from concept through launch.About the RoleWe are seeking a hands-on Art Director - Sharper Image to lead creative from concept through production across physical and digital channels.Reporting to the VP of Design, this role operates within a 30+ person multidisciplinary design organization and directly manages a cross-disciplinary team of approximately six.Sitting at the intersection of market, design, and production, this role translates strategy into cohesive creative that performs across physical and digital channels. You will play a critical role in shaping how our cross-category portfolio shows up across retail and digital commerce.This role is suited for a creative who brings vision and execution excellence from concept through launch - translating product innovation into compelling brand experiences that connect with consumers.Key ResponsibilitiesCreative Execution (Hands-On)Execute packaging, retail POS, ecommerce, and digital marketing from concept through productionTranslate strategic directives into clear, actionable creative solutionsDevelop and maintain scalable brand systems across cross-category tech portfoliosExplore concepts from incremental to breakthrough, pushing creative boundaries while maintaining commercial impactCreate and elevate product visuals across 3D rendering and photographyTeam LeadershipManage and mentor a cross-disciplinary creative team spanning brand, graphic design, packaging, photography, ecommerce, and productionOwn projects from kickoff through launch, driving key decisions and schedule accountabilitySet creative standards and ensure quality executionProvide clear, proactive communication on project status, risks, and timelinesCross-Functional PartnershipPartner with Industrial Design, Sales, and Marketing to translate product vision and market strategy into compelling creative expressionCollaborate with Product Development, Production, and Compliance to align innovation with manufacturability and regulatory standardsPartner with vendors and external agencies to ensure feasibility, alignment, and execution excellenceQualificationsRequired10+ years of professional design experience within CPG, consumer electronics, or multi-brand environmentsBA/BS in Fine Art, Graphic Design or other related degree, Masters preferred.Experience leading cross-disciplinary creative teamsProven experience building and executing integrated brand systems across packaging, retail, ecommerce, and digital marketingDeep understanding of packaging production, print processes, structural considerations, retail and regulatory compliance, and global production partnerships, with the ability to anticipate and resolve execution challenges across channelsExceptional eye for graphics, typography, composition, layout, color, visual hierarchy, and graphic systems, with the ability to elevate product visuals across photography and photorealistic renderingAbility to translate business feedback into clear creative direction and articulate design rationale to cross-functional partnersStrong commercial understanding of retail, ecommerce, and consumer engagement trendsProficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma, with familiarity in visualization toolsTravel may be required based on project needsPreferredStrong experience using KeyShot or similar 3D rendering toolsExperience directing photography and video for retail, ecommerce, or paid socialFamiliarity with motion graphics or adapting video assets for digital advertisingExperience contributing to website or landing page design with an understanding of UX principlesWorking knowledge of AI-powered creative tools and workflow integrationWhat We OfferCompetitive compensation and benefitsHighly collaborative culture across design, sales, marketing, and product teamsOpportunity to shape nationally recognized brands across physical retail and digital commerceVisible impact in a fast-moving, multi-brand organization4 days onsite in Irvine, CA, with remote work on FridaysEqual Opportunity StatementThreeSixty Group / MerchSource is an equal opportunity employer.
