Supervisor:Mr. DeRocke Croom, Athletics DirectorEmployment Period:SeasonalEmployment Status:TemporarySalary:$5,000Start Date:Fall 2026Closing Date:Open Until FilledDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:In charge of all aspects of the team operationMotivates students and instructs student athletes in game strategies and techniquesProvides a positive role model and encourages sport-like behaivorOversees rosters, practices, and games schedulesMaintains inventory, issue/receipt of uniforms and other required equipmentOrganizes transportationMaintains required records, forms, other related dataOther related duties as assignedJOB REQUIREMENTS:Knowledge of skills and tactics of sportExperience coaching preferredGood communication and organizational skillsCPR/AED/First Aid training (See NOTE below)Completion of the Coaching Education online course (See NOTE below)Completion of the Concussion Prevention Training (See NOTE below)NOTE: These requirements are optional for hiring but required before working with student athletes. CPR/AED/First Aid and Coaching Education courses are at the applicant/employe expense. The CPR/AED/First Aid course can be scheduled externally or through Hampton City Schools after selection.
