The Brake Press Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining press brake machines to bend, form, and shape metal parts according to specifications. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to read blueprints, and a strong commitment to safety and quality standards.Duties and ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate press brake machines (CNC and/or manual)Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work ordersSelect appropriate tooling, dies, and materials for each jobMeasure and inspect finished parts to ensure accuracy and qualityMake machine adjustments to meet dimensional tolerancesPerform routine machine maintenance and troubleshootingFollow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work areaCollaborate with supervisors and team members to meet production goalsDocument production data and report issues or defectRequired QualificationsPrevious experience operating a press brake or similar metal fabrication equipmentAbility to read blueprints and use measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, tape measures)Basic math skills and understanding of metal forming processesStrong attention to detail and problem-solving skillPreferred QualificationsCNC press brake experienceKnowledge of different metals (steel, aluminum, stainless steel)Familiarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practicesEqual Opportunity Statement: Komline is an EEO Employer- M/F/Vets/Disabled
