Production Operator II - 2nd Shift

Production Operator Prestolite Electric/Leece-Neville, a leading global manufacturer of alternators and starter motors for the heavy-duty vehicle market with operations in North America, Europe, and China is seeking individuals for our Production Operator positions in our Arcade, New York location. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual to take the next step in your career and join a great team offering professional growth and a collaborative work environment.Main Duties and Responsibilities • Required to run machines, assemble components, final assemble product and/or test parts. May be assigned to one or more of these during any shift.• Will need to be flexible to move from job to job, where some will be standing, others sitting for various lengths of time, depending on schedules.• May require frequent lifting of 20 lbs.• Must be able to operate solder irons and other solder equipment, air drivers, potting equipment, electrical pass-fail test equipment, etc.• Must be able to work with chemicals commonly found in factory production such as flux, solder, epoxy, adhesives, silastics, etc.• Will be required to maintain required charts and graphs, become familiar with Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), read and sign process specifications pertaining to their work assignments and keep workstations neat and clean.Specific Knowledge and Abilities • High school education or G.E.D. preferred.• Must wear safety shoes, safety glasses and other required safety equipment• Must have good attendance and be able to work overtime as required.Compensation and Benefits Include • Starting wages - $15.86 for first shift and $16.86 for second shift• Competitive medical, dental, vision and 401(k)• Paid holidays, sick time, and vacation timePrestolite Electric does not discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or genetic information.
