Job DescriptionEverstaff is seeking a Litigation Paralegal for a reputable law firm in the Akron/Fairlawn area! The Litigation Paralegal is responsible for supporting their assigned attorney by investigating and researching case facts, preparing legal documents, and maintaining accurate and timely case management.Key Responsibilities:Obtain, review, and organize medical records and documentationInvestigate insurance coverage as neededPrepare and maintain detailed damage summaries, including medical expenses, lost wages, and property damageLog incoming daily mail and maintain organized case filesDraft and send correspondence to clients, insurance carriers, and medical providersPrepare and forward medical records to insurance companiesVerify balances and assist in resolving subrogation liensProcess check requests, maintain accurate records, and handle check distributionSupport attorneys with settlement documentation and prepare disbursement summariesCommunication & Collaboration:Maintain consistent communication with clients regarding case status and updatesPrepare weekly reports and participate in monthly team meetingsProvide backup support to other team members during absencesMeet or exceed performance goals and maintain regular, punctual attendancePerform additional duties as assignedRequired Skills:Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and ExcelStrong understanding of legal practices, procedures, and terminologyKnowledge of standard business and office administrative proceduresExcellent grammar, spelling, and written communication skillsAbility to research and prepare legal documentation accuratelyComfortable using legal software and related technologyEducation & Experience:High school diploma or GED requiredParalegal certificate required3-5 years of relevant experience in a legal settingBachelor's degree preferredSalary: $50,000 - $62,000, based on experienceThis is an in-office position, Monday through FridayFull BenefitsIf you feel you have the above qualifications, please apply!All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, ethnicity, national origin, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability status, protected veteran status or any other protected status under the law.EverStaff is an equal opportunity employer (M/F/D/V/SO/GI)
