This role is ideal for an experienced attorney who thrives in complex deal environments and is ready to take on a visible, high-impact position within a collaborative, growth-oriented practice.The firm maintains a strong footprint across the Southeast with national deal flow, offering senior associates the opportunity to work on sophisticated finance transactions while continuing to deepen technical expertise and client-facing responsibilities.Role OverviewAs a Senior Associate in the Financial Services practice, you will play a key role in structuring, negotiating, and executing complex financing transactions across multiple industries and asset classes. You will work closely with partners, junior associates, and clients on matters that demand precision, sound judgment, and strong commercial awareness.This position is well suited for attorneys who are confident managing core deal components independently while contributing strategically to larger, multi-party transactions.Key ResponsibilitiesCandidates must demonstrate the ability to perform the following to be considered for interview:Draft, review, and negotiate documentation for complex finance transactions, including credit agreements and ancillary documentsSupport and lead components of syndicated credit facilities and leveraged finance transactionsAdvise clients on deal structure, risk allocation, and execution strategyCollaborate across finance sub-practices to deliver integrated solutionsManage transaction timelines, diligence processes, and closing mechanicsCommunicate clearly with clients, lenders, borrowers, and internal stakeholdersMentor junior associates and contribute to efficient deal executionMaintain exceptional attention to detail while handling multiple active mattersRequired QualificationsTo be eligible for consideration, candidates must meet the following criteria:5+ years of transactional law experience, with a focus on financePrior experience at an Am Law 200 firm (required)Demonstrated experience working on sophisticated finance transactionsStrong academic credentials and professional writing skillsAbility to work effectively in a collaborative, team-based environmentWillingness to work in a hybrid schedule (3 days in-office) in Charlotte or CharlestonNot currently barred in North Carolina or South Carolina (firm will support bar admission as needed)Preferred Qualifications (Strongly Emphasized)Candidates with the following background will receive priority consideration:Substantial experience with syndicated loans and leveraged financeExposure to one or more of the following areas:SecuritizationRenewable energy or project financePublic bondsReal estate financeExperience handling multi-party, multi-jurisdictional transactionsComfort taking ownership of key deal components with limited oversightStrong client-service mindset with commercial awarenessWhy This Role Stands OutHighly competitive compensation aligned with senior associate market expectationsNational-level finance work within a collegial, well-resourced platformExposure to multiple finance disciplines without being siloedClear runway for continued professional growth and leadershipHybrid work model in attractive Southeast marketsHireNow Staffing DisclaimerHireNow Staffing is acting as a direct placement partner for this role.
