We take pride in our continued success and are seeking the best people to join our company. About This Position:We are currently seeking an Estimator in our Water/Wastewater division. This individual would be responsible for generating project cost estimates for the Sales department. RequirementsDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Assembles relevant documents to be used in the estimating process to include: proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents. Assists in the development of the proposal.Develop field equipment bills of material and associated costs.Develop control panel listings and associated costs.Assist in estimating engineering services.Identifies specific products and/or services to be excluded.Obtain written accurate quotation from vendor and subcontractor, including price, terms, condition and delivery.Understand and communicate bid deadlines internally and to contributing supplier and sub-contractors.Attend pre-bid meetings and visit job sites as required. COMPETENCIES:Proficient with office software (e.g. Microsoft Word and Excel)Ability to work independentlyAbility to complete work accurately and by a deadlineAbility to perform calculations required to size componentsAbility to manage and track multiple project estimatesStrong communication and organizational skillsKnowledge of industrial controlsKnowledge of industry design standards and specificationsEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:An associate's degree in engineering with one-year related experience or direct experience in Water/Wastewater with a minimum of two years' related experience with college instruction in a related field.
