Job Type Part-timeDescriptionREPORTS TO: Banquet Manager/Clubhouse Manager JOB SUMMARY: Assists with day-to-day parking operations and provides parking service to our club members and guests by performing the following duties.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESReports to work on time and in proper uniform.Greets members by name upon arrival and provides exceptional parking service to members and guests.Strong ability to operate vehicles with manual transmissionsStrong ability to carry out parallel parking and maneuver vehicles safely into parking spacesOrganizes vehicles and manages parking area.Opens doors for members and guests, and assists them as they enter and leave the clubhouseAssists with any packages and opens the front doorBe expectant of guest needs and meet them promptlyAssists people with disabilitiesMonitor commercial and personal vehicle traffic such as guest vehicles, limousines, buses, taxi cabs, Uber, Lyft, and others, and give directions to them on property to ensure proper parking of vehicles to achieve efficient flow of trafficEnsures parking areas/levels are secure, safe, and always clean, and immediately gives report of any observed security problems, unauthorized personnel, or safety/vehicle hazards to the supervisor or managerKeeps vehicles and vehicle keys secure and safeEnsures Clubhouse entrance/valet attendant area clean and spotlessFollows all safety policies and procedures and has knowledge of Club Rules and RegulationsConducts himself or herself in a manner consistent with club policiesAdheres to all club and employee policies and proceduresRecognizes and reports on safety issues and concernsAble to work extended hours and flexible schedules based on business demandPerforms additional duties as required by the Banquet Manager or Clubhouse ManagerInteraction:Frequent interaction with members and guestsWORK ENVIRONMENTAble to work in a busy environmentFrequently exposed to outside weather conditions that can be often slippery and wetMust be able to work in a hot and humid environmentRequirementsAdditional Responsibilities:Work in conjunction with Concierge to anticipate events and member use of clubhouse to anticipate member needsEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 1 to 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceMust be at least 18 years old to work in this areaCOMPREHENSION AND COMMUNICATION SKILLS Strong ability to communicate in standard English languageAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manualsAbility to speak effectively with club members, guests, or employees of the clubStrong ability to give information to members, guests and colleagues in a small group setting or one-on-one.Ability to apply units of American currency in performing simple addition and subtraction as well as multiplication and division.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONSEmployment Eligibility Verification DocumentsHolds clean driving record and a valid Driver's LicenseSpecial Requirements:Ability to keep information confidentialMust possess an outgoing personalityMust possess honesty and integrityMust be always courteous and tactfulMust treat others with kindness and respectPHYSICAL DEMANDSWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and talk for long period of time.Often required walking at a fast pace or running upon member/guest arrival or departure.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust and focusAbility to push or pull 30 poundsReach with hands and armsRequired to bend, stoop, and stand up to 10 hours a day
