Primavera is seeking dynamic individuals to join our innovative team as an Adjunct Science Teacher.Primary duties and responsibilities:Maintain knowledge of research, developments, and best practices in secondary education and digital learning environmentsDesign and deliver engaging and developmentally appropriate synchronous and asynchronous instruction based on state standards and best practices, while also incorporating social emotional learning strategiesEvaluate student work and data to drive instruction: regularly gather and analyze data from both formative and summative assessments to glean insight into how well students are understanding and mastering the material and adjust instruction, support, and intervention accordinglyGrade all student assignments within 24-48 hours of submission, providing developmental feedback for all student assignmentsEstablish rapport with students and their families while expressing the importance of consistent attendance and engagement to meet learning objectivesProvide proactive, timely, and consistent communication to students and parents regarding student progress and engagement through all available communication tools including the tools in the Student Information System (SIS), Learning Management System (LMS), and tools provided by the school for email, phone calls, and text messagingMaintain and communicate accurate records of grades, attendance, and special reportsMaintain office hours daily between 8am-8pm, number of hours are dependent on course loadProvide support for students with IEP and 504 according to their plans and provide input for IEP/504 meetingsProperly document issues, concerns, and important information concerning students and their families in the Student Information System (SIS)Enforce school policies, rules, and procedures in the virtual classroom and at in-person school-related activitiesAttend monthly professional development Job Specific Skills/Abilities:Maintain a professional code of conduct, including but not limited to professional language, actions, and attireMaintain professional confidentiality of personal and private matters pertaining to students, parents, and co-workersAcknowledge and accept direction from leadershipDemonstrate willingness and desire to work and collaborate with students, parents, co-workers, and the general publicCommunicate effectively, both verbal and writtenMaintain positive and pro-active customer service in all aspects of communication, both internally and externallyPrioritize work and handle multiple tasks while working independentlyDisplay excellent planning and organizational skillsWork under pressure, pay attention to detail, meet deadlines, and deal with difficult situations while maintaining composure, professionalism, and a positive attitude.Take initiative to look at data analytically, showing excellent reasoning and problem-solving skills as it relates to continuous improvement for professional and personal growthDemonstrate awareness and willingness to understand personal role and how it contributes to the success of other departments or functional areasEmbrace a culturally diverse environmentKnow and be proficient in Microsoft Office programsAdapt to change while conveying professionalismEstablish work priorities and work independently without supervision The Successful Candidate possesses:Education/Training:Bachelor's Degree RequiredArizona Standard Professional 6-12 Teachers Certification with Science Endorsement Required Current valid Fingerprint Clearance CardTeaching experience at the secondary education level requiredExperience in online education preferredEnvironmental Conditions: Remote Teaching Position.
