Job DescriptionPaint Team MemberShift: 2nd Shift - Monday-Thursday, 2:00 PM-12:00 AMPay Range: $25-$30/hour (Based on Experience)Location: CudahyWe are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Paint Team Member to join our 2nd shift operations. This role is responsible for properly preparing, priming, and finish painting steel fabrications to precise customer specifications, including required dry film thickness.Our team produces both repetitive OEM components and one-time custom fabrications. Because many of the parts we manufacture are considered critical components, quality, safety, and attention to detail are essential. The painter serves as the final inspector in our manufacturing process, making this role vital to ensuring product integrity and customer satisfaction.Key ResponsibilitiesMix paints accurately to customer specificationsPrime and finish paint steel fabrications efficiently and to required dry film thicknessEnsure all parts have been blasted to a minimum SPC-6 finish prior to coatingMask and protect machined surfaces and threaded holes before paintingConduct quality checks to verify coating accuracy and overall workmanshipInspect parts carefully and communicate any concerns regarding welds or fabrication qualityPerform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting of painting equipmentMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environmentDemonstrate strong attendance, teamwork, and a positive attitude each dayQualificationsSeveral years of experience painting steel fabricationsKnowledge of paint mixing, surface preparation, and coating thickness requirementsStrong understanding of quality standards and inspection processesExcellent attention to detail and problem-solving skillsStrong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environmentCommitment to safety, quality workmanship, and maintaining equipment properly
