Title: Project Engineer, Land Development Location: Buford, GA Pay: $130K - $160K Type: Direct hire Industry: Residential/Commercial Construction Key Responsibilities * Review municipal zoning, land development ordinances, and regulatory agency requirements to determine development limitations. * Conduct site investigations and due diligence, including research of ordinances, utilities, and outside agency regulations. * Lead stormwater management and conveyance system design using AutoCAD Civil 3D and hydrology design software. * Perform pipe sizing calculations and create drainage area maps. * Develop grading designs that optimize earthwork, ensure site safety, and achieve cost-effective solutions. * Design subdivision and site plans, as well as utility systems (stormwater, sanitary sewer, pump stations, water, gas, and telecommunications). * Identify and resolve vertical and horizontal utility conflicts. * Prepare soil erosion and sediment control designs. * Generate construction cost estimates for bonding and client requirements. Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required. * 7+ years of residential and/or commercial civil land development experience. * EIT certification required; PE license preferred. * Strong knowledge of Georgia municipal, county, and state land use, planning, and zoning processes. * Expertise in stormwater management, hydraulics, hydrology, grading, and site development. * Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D from concept through completion.
