Job DescriptionThe primary goal of this role is to manage the timely and cost-effective procurement of capital materials and services, requisite contracts and agreements for the Research & Development department, as well as working within the Global Capex team and Capex buyer's network to improve maturity and professional sourcing approach. These activities include but are not limited to supporting the SSP Strategic Sourcing Process execution through regional and/or local agreements, RFX's, negotiations, supplier selection/development and contract management.Responsibilities: Negotiation and purchasing of goods and services as appropriateContracts managementSAP and BW use for reporting on cost, consumption, stocks, qualityUse of appropriate tools and technics effectively to ensure that procurement delivers required targets and performances (TSC, Prosaving yearly targets)Reports effectively and in timeContributes delivering cost reduction targetsSupport implementation of the Central Procurement strategies to achieve long-term objectives: performing financial goal attainment and developing supplier relations, including quality and service level agreements and follow upManage relationship with suppliers in line with O-I Sourcing Strategies, identifying the saving potential to drive commercial advantageManage relationship with internal stakeholders (Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Technical depts.)Work with appropriate specialists to develop internal cost improvement plansWork with suppliers to define continuous improvement action plans and to capture potential innovation competitive advantages for OIQualificationsBachelor Degree: Engineer, Business or Procurement Degree preferredIdeally 5+ years of experience in a purchasing and/or purchasing-related role; preferably in a manufacturing environmentExperience of multinational organizationHighly developed negotiation skillsProven track record supplier performance managementExperience within Procurement for at least 2 yearsHigh MS Office knowledge (Excel/PowerPoint mainly)SAP Procur. transactions and ad hoc reportsTravel: Willing and able to travel frequently and internationallyAdditional InformationWhat we offer at O-I:Salary Range: The expected salary range for this position will be between $130,000 - $155,000, with a potential 15% STI.
