Our team of 700+ passionate pet people thrives on collaboration, innovation, and the occasional office cameo from a four-legged friend. Whisker operates daily with two shifts. If selected for an interview, please confirm if you are interested in first, second or either shift. First Shift: 6:00 am - 2:30 pm CST | Second Shift 3pm - 11:30pm CSTWhat You'll Do:As a Robot Assembler, you will assemble parts to build robotic appliances for pets (Litter-Robot & Feeder-Robot). As an assembling professional, you will build robots as per our work instructions, prepare assembly areas, work with your colleagues to improve line performance, and join a winning team leading the future of pet care. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary. Assembles parts to build robotic appliances for petsFollows work instructions and alerts Engineering or Management when these important documents have errors or inconsistenciesPrepares assembly area / line for work, ensuring that all components and tools are in good condition and ready for the required workDemonstrates the willingness and ability to perform all functions of the assembly processPerforms final test / QC analysis of productPacks product for shipmentContributes to building a quality work environment by taking initiative, respecting others, being a team player, and cleaning work areaRequirementsWhat You'll Bring:Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently to effectively communicate with customers, colleagues, and cross-functional teamsBilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply, as additional language skills are a plus in serving our diverse customer communityAble to stand/walk for extended periods of timeAble to lift up to 45 lbsAble to bend, climb ladders, pull, push, reach as needed Ability to work in various temperaturesAble to follow directions, use hand and power toolsMechanical aptitude and good dexterity are helpful in this roleMust have a positive attitudeMust be an efficient worker that is organized and detail orientedAble to work in a fast-paced assembly environmentMust be eager to learn different areas of the companyNot Required but Nice to Have:Working experience in a manufacturing environment is preferredPhysical Demands and Work Environment:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
