Paralegal

Our client is currently seeking a full-time Civil Litigation Legal Assistant / Paralegal for its Mission Viejo, CA office. This is an in-office position. They represent individuals and businesses in a variety of civil matters, including commercial litigation, employment law, construction and real estate disputes, and more.The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience supporting attorneys in civil litigation matters from intake through trial. This role requires strong attention to detail and organization, good communication skills, and the ability to work in a busy and varied environment.Key Responsibilities include:Draft, edit, and proofread legal documents including pleadings, discovery, motions, subpoenas, and correspondenceFile documents with state and federal courtsManage case calendars, deadlines, and attorney schedulesOrganize and maintain physical and electronic case filesAssist with trial preparation, including compiling exhibits, trial binders, and witness listsCoordinate depositions, mediations, and court appearancesConduct basic legal research and cite-checkingCommunicate with clients, experts, court personnel, and opposing counselRequirementsMinimum 2 years of experience in civil litigationParalegal certificate or degree preferred but not requiredProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and litigation management softwareFamiliarity with e-filing systems (state and federal)Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsBenefitsCompensation- DOEMedical, Dental, Vision
