Candidate Source is partnering with a premier technology solutions provider based in Williamsburg to find a Lead Audio-Video Installation Technician. This is a Direct Hire opportunity for a motivated professional looking to take the next step in their career with a company that values growth, training, and technical excellence.In this role, you will lead the installation and troubleshooting of complex audio/video systems in commercial environments. You will be the technical anchor for projects ranging from simple conference rooms to fully integrated building systems, while also mentoring and training junior team members.Key Responsibilities:Lead Field Operations: Oversee on-site installations, ensuring projects are completed on time and to high technical standards.Installation & Troubleshooting: Perform advanced installation and service work on flat panels, projectors, structured cabling, 25/70-Volt audio systems, video distribution, IP encoders, control systems, DSPs, and building racks (including lacing wires and rough-ins).Team Leadership: Oversee, mentor, and train co-workers and junior technicians on best practices and technical skills.Project Communication: Act as the primary point of technical contact in the field, coordinating effectively with sales engineers, project managers, clients, and general contractors.Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols while working on ladders and using power tools.Documentation: Ensure accurate reporting of project status and service outcomes.Qualifications & Requirements:Leadership Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience leading AV installations and managing on-site workflows.Technical Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience installing and troubleshooting commercial AV systems.Certifications: Applicable industry training is highly valued (AVIXA/Infocomm CTS, Biamp, Crestron, Extron, Legrand AV).Networking Knowledge: Strong computer and networking skills are required.Tools & Mobility: Must own basic industry tools and possess a reliable vehicle with a valid driver's license.Licensing: Ability to pass a background check and become DCJS licensed.Physical: Ability to work on ladders and utilize power tools safely.Preferred Skills:Experience with structured cabling and/or security/surveillance systems is a plus.Familiarity with general construction techniques.Soft Skills:Professional appearance with a friendly, client-facing attitude.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Versatile, able to work under pressure, and capable of meeting strict deadlines.A strong desire to learn and grow within the technology sector.#IND1
