Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Buyer to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $62,000 to $83,000 per year. Job Responsibilities: Manage purchasing of materials and supplies that support production plans and schedules.Build and maintain supplier relationships that support quality, reliability, and fair pricing.Review inventory levels and adjust orders to avoid shortages or excess stock.Use ERP information to guide buying decisions and keep demand plans current.Create purchase orders and track acknowledgments, deliveries, and any delays. Requirements: Strong knowledge of materials management and common supply chain practices.Ability to read ERP data, spot issues, and take timely corrective action.Skill in organizing records, vendor files, and item documentation for quick reference.Clear communication with production, planning, and operations to confirm needs. Qualifications: 5+ years in a buying or procurement role with steady results.Experience in a manufacturing or similar production environment.Familiarity with job shop or production focused ERP systems.Proven ability to manage several priorities in a fast moving setting while meeting deadlines.Strong follow through, attention to detail, and professional vendor management skills.
