Job Summary Machine Operator with experience operating and maintaining Voortman machinery to cut, burn and/or drill structural steel components including beams, angles, tubing and channels for fabrication and processing. Job Function * Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to understand project specifications. * Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on Voortman equipment to ensure optimal performance. * Monitor and adjust machine settings to ensure precise cutting and drilling as required. * Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines, schedules and deadlines. * Troubleshoot and rectify operational issues with Voortman machinery in a timely manner. * Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations. * Proven experience operating machinery or similar CNC Equipment. * Strong understanding of metal fabrication processes and techniques. * Knowledge of safety standards and best practices in the steel service center industry. * Proficient in basic computer skills and familiarity with machine control software. * Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills and abilities. * Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a TEAM environment.
