Position Type: Elementary School TeachingDate Posted: 1/13/2026Location: Worth School District 127Date Available: ASAPClosing Date: Until FilledFull-time Position Bilingual Spanish Elementary TeacherDescription: Bilingual Spanish TeacherReports to: Building Principals, Director and Assistant Director of Student ServicesSalary: Qualifications: Meets certification requirements of the State of Illinois for ML Experience working with Spanish bilingual students Spanish Bilingual Endorsement PEL Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Obtain necessary WIDA test certifications Administer placement tests to determine student ML eligibility Administer annual ACCESS test to ML students to determine growth in English Language proficiency Plan and provide small group and Push-In/Pull-Out instruction to students in order to maximize their English proficiency Communicate with and provide instructional strategies to general education classroom teachers enabling them to increase the learning of ML students in the general education classroom Determine appropriate ML accommodations for students and support classroom teachers in their application. Assist with the administration of assessment to ML students Communicate ML student progress to parents via parent conferences, state-required letters, meetings, phone calls, etc. Work ML services at school and district events Maintain accurate and complete records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulation Other duties as directed by immediate supervisor(s) Plans a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students. Creates a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students. Prepares for classes assigned, and shows written evidence of preparation upon request of immediate superior. Encourages students to set and maintain standards of classroom behavior. Guides the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals and -in harmony with the goals-establishes clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects and communicates these objectives to students. Employs a variety of ML instructional techniques and instructional media, consistent with measured needs and capabilities of the individuals or student groups involved. Strives to implement by instruction and action the district's mission statement. Assess the accomplishments of students on a regular basis and provides reports as required, as well as notifying parents of student progress when necessary. Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities. Maintains accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulation. Strives to maintain and improve professional competence. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor(s)
