We are seeking a highly motivated Test Engineer to join our Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) team in King of Prussia, PA. As a Test Engineer in this team you will be focused on Digital Relay Test Automation. A typical day in this position will include the following: * Evaluating new test technologies and methods. * Determining Design for Test (DFT) specifications and working with engineering staff on new product design. * Designing, developing, and maintaining test strategies for new and existing products that meet corporate objectives. * Training production testing staff in function, design, and maintenance of all testing processes on the production floor. * Gathering and analyzing test data to improve test coverage and efficiencies. * Modeling SEL Values. * Continuously identify, measure, and improve processes. * Embracing the mindset understand, create, simplify and applying it to processes. * Other duties as assigned. This job might be for you if you have: * B.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. * Minimum of 2 years experience designing and developing production tests. * Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills. * Experience with various programming languages. * Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities. * Ability to work cooperatively in team environment. * Background check results satisfactory to SEL. * Negative drug test result(s). Preferred Qualifications: * 2+ years of experience in electronic design, manufacturing and testing. * Skilled in the design and construction of test fixtures. * Experience in writing test procedures and test documentation. * Good understanding of protection functions in digital relays. * Basic understanding of communication protocols in digital relays. * Experience with testing of protection and/or communication protocols in digital relays. * Good programming skills (Python, Perl etc.). * Experience managing test teams. Pay Range Information: Our pay ranges are determined by job, responsibility, and location. The salary range for this position is between $97,700.00 and $144,400.00 annually. We base our starting pay offer and title on location and job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills.
