Job Description

Support students with special needs in a dynamic educational setting located in Burnsville, MN. This contract position offers an opportunity to work on-site within a dedicated special education center-based classroom. Two openings are available for paraprofessionals with expertise in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or Early Childhood Special Education. Key Responsibilities: Assist teachers in delivering specialized support to students with ASD or early childhood special education needs. Provide one-on-one or small group assistance tailored to individual student goals. Facilitate classroom management and promote a positive learning environment. Collaborate with educational staff to implement individualized education plans (IEPs). Participate in ongoing training and professional development related to special education practices. Desired Qualifications: Minimum of two years of college credits through an accredited institution, OR associate degree or higher, OR successful completion of an approved academic assessment (such as ParaPro, ParaPathways, or The Master Teacher). Completion or willingness to obtain a PCA certificate (training available at no cost). Proven knowledge or experience working with students diagnosed with ASD or in early childhood special education settings. Ability to work Monday through Friday from 9:15 AM to 3:45 PM. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with educators, students, and families. Commitment to on-site work - this is not a remote or virtual opportunity.
