Join our team and help build engineering solutions that change the industry. **Job summary:** The Iron Technician I provides assembly and testing of various mechanical components. **Additional Information:** + Compensation: Pay will start at $20.85/hour and can be adjusted based on experience. + Schedule: Monday-Friday 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM, current working 6:00 AM-6:30 PM and 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM on Saturday, averaging about 70 hours a week **What you will do:** + At SPM Oil & Gas, our primary objective is to provide our customers with excellent engineering solutions through our products and superior customer service + Process incoming iron starts to finish.  Able to accept equipment from delivery, recertify equipment, load equipment for delivery, complete all associate paperwork, perform quality check, and manage inventory (without supervision) + Understand customer requirements throughout the entire refurbishment of flow control product to produce high quality product + Clean, strip and inspect all required flow control components + Prepare flow control products for Gauging, Ultra Sonic, and MPI inspections + Disassemble of flow control products per Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) + Provides proper care and maintenance of all shop tools, equipment, and work area + Exhibit and always advocate exemplary safety culture + Perform additional duties as assigned **What you will have:** + Ability to operate hand tools such as pneumatic tooling + Possess a sound Mechanical Aptitude + Demonstrate consistency, accountability, reliability, and solid work ethic **What Top Candidates will have:** + Three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience + Working knowledge of oil and gas equipment **Physical Demands:** + Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear + Required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl + Consistently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds + Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus + Must be able to wear protective footwear and other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by the department **Work Environment:** + Regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles + Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions + Occasionally exposed to high, precarious places and vibration + Noise Level: Moderate  **Summary Pay Range:** $20.85 - $27.95 Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience.
