Loss Mitiigation Specialist (SPOC)

Currently, we have a SPOC/Loss Mitigation opportunity with a large mortgage servicing and financial Institution. Your specific duties will include: Serve as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for a portfolio of delinquent or high-value mortgage accounts, providing consistent borrower communication and support. Contact, negotiate, and implement loss mitigation strategies—including loan modifications, short sales, deeds in lieu, and other alternatives—to minimize foreclosure losses. Handle specialty functions such as bankruptcy accounts, liquidation outcomes, and complex borrower situations, ensuring compliance with investor, legal, and departmental guidelines. Manage inbound and outbound calls to assist borrowers with account inquiries, payment options, and loan status updates, delivering high-quality customer service. Analyze borrower financial situations, recommend appropriate loss mitigation tools, and coordinate with internal departments (loss mitigation, escrow, collections) for timely resolution. Maintain accurate documentation of all interactions, review title searches for lien integrity, and ensure compliance with mortgage servicing regulations and company policies. Required qualifications for the position include:  High school diploma or GED required. 2+ years of experience in mortgage servicing, loss mitigation, collections, or customer support. Experience handling borrower communications and delinquent mortgage accounts. Strong customer service, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Required qualifications for the position include:  Associate’s degree from an accredited two-year college. Prior experience as a SPOC or Loss Mitigation Specialist in mortgage servicing. Experience with mortgage servicing systems such as MSP, Black Knight/LPS, or Sagent. Pay Rate: $26.50 per hour   Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location.
