Drive Sustainability.Our client, an innovative and growing recycling operation in Hazelwood, is looking for a hands-on Recycling Operations Manager to lead daily production on the sorting line and across the facility.This is not a desk job. This is boots-on-the-floor leadership in a fast-moving, high-impact environment where efficiency, safety, and teamwork matter every single shift.If you thrive in operations, know how to motivate a crew, and want to make a real impact in sustainability and waste reduction, this is your opportunity to step into leadership and own the outcome.What You'll Be Responsible ForOperational LeadershipOversee daily recycling line operations to ensure production targets are metLead and direct line operators, forklift drivers, and floor staffMonitor workflow and proactively address bottlenecks or inefficienciesEnsure equipment is operating properly and escalate maintenance needsTeam Management & AccountabilityProvide hands-on supervision, coaching, and real-time problem solvingMaintain high standards for attendance, performance, and safetyFoster a culture of teamwork, urgency, and accountabilitySafety & ComplianceEnforce safety protocols and ensure OSHA-compliant practicesMaintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environmentConduct safety check-ins and reinforce best practices dailyProduction & DocumentationTrack production output and accuracy using computer systemsDocument performance metrics and report on daily resultsOperate a forklift as needed to support workflowAdaptabilityJump in where needed. When production demands shift, you lead the pivot.What We're Looking ForPrevious experience in a manufacturing, plant, or recycling environmentPrior leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferredForklift experience requiredAbility to lead by example in a physically active role (lifting up to 40 lbs)Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal)Basic computer proficiency and comfort tracking production metricsSolid math skills and ability to problem-solve in real timeYou're the kind of person who notices when something's off before anyone else does.
