We are humbled by the long-term relationships with our customers, earned through the packaging solutions we offer, including design, engineering, testing, manufacturing, and fulfillment of custom and stock packaging Your Role Assembler - Wood Shift and Hours: Morning, 5am - 3:30pmWork Schedule: Mon-ThursReports Into: ManagerDivision: 130 Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, Life Insurance, Paid/Flexible Time Off, Paid Sick Leave, and Holiday Pay Using your strong teamwork skills, you will safely and efficiently build wood crates using blueprints (cut sheets) and power tools to meet customer specifications for quality and on-time delivery. You will log in and out of jobs in the Ops Center (Production software planning system) to track jobs and follow production schedules. You'll also follow safety and personal protective equipment requirements What You'll Be Doing Builds various sized wood crates while safely using power tools i.e., nail and staple guns, power drills, grinders, and hammersUse tape measure to ensure the measurements match the cut sheet up to 1/8th inchSafe ladder use required when assembling the tops (caps) of cratesMay need to assemble bases or skids for crates on the ground. This requires use of a 20 pound, 3.5-inch nail gun while crouching and/or kneelingAble to read, interpret, find, and document possible cut sheet and/or stenciling errorsUse of adhesives to apply foam to wood crates and conduct specification checksEfficiently perform work according to standard operating proceduresUse of equipment and when to speak to your supervisor Follow all procedures, policies and understand equipment use, before useTo ensure safety, report equipment defects and/or maintenance needs to your supervisorTo help protect yourself and others, please report any unsafe acts to your supervisorWhat We'd Like to See from You Required 3 months of experience in carpentry, construction and/or landscapingUse of dimensional and electrical power tools and motorized equipmentBasic computer skills to use Ops Center to log in & out of jobs with employee ID numberPreferred High School diploma or GEDBilingual (English/Spanish)Forklift experienceInterested but Concerned You're Not Qualified?
