DescriptionAbout the role:Location: Albany, NYReports to: General ManagerHours: Full-time, Monday-Friday [6 am - 2:30 pm], on-site Compensation Range: 27.50 to 32.50The ideal candidate for a lab technician role in the cannabis industry will have a degree in chemistry and hands-on laboratory experience, preferably in cannabis testing willing to work long hours. Attention to detail, knowledge of quality control and ability to adhere to SOPs are all crucial. As we do so, we continue to support the "Shelter Project", the company's in-house compassion program that has been providing free cannabis oil to cancer patients since 2014.Learn more about us here, Key Responsibilities:Perform a variety of lab processes, which can include but are not limited to various aspects of: Filling, Formulating, solventless extraction, hydrocarbon, post-processing, winterization, filtration, rotary evaporation, and distillationMaintain freeze dryersCleaning and preventive maintenance of all equipment, tools, and work areasEscalate any technical issues related to processes or equipment to their SupervisorMaintain safe and efficient production, working with delicate and expensive equipmentMaintain accurate records for all production phase steps, using paper and electronic logs, METRC/Biotrack track-and-trace, and Odoo ERPMeet or exceed production goals with few to no errorsDesired Skills and Experience: 2+ years of experience in a laboratory or production environment.Keen ability to follow instructions and receive feedback.Able to work independently and as part of a team.Excellent communication and organizational skills.Able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.Must be able to lift more than 40lbs at a timeMust be able to stand for long periods of timeBenefits: We feel strongly that our employees do their best work when they don't need to worry as much about some of life's biggest stressors.
