Lofton Staffing is hiring a skilled technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and rebuild downhole oilfield tools (packers, valves, mandrels) as well as industrial machinery, CNC equipment, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and electrical equipment up to 480VAC. This temp-to-hire position in Northwest Houston pays $28-$32/hr DOE and is ideal for mechanically and electrically inclined professionals who thrive in a shop/manufacturing environment.Key Responsibilities:Disassemble, inspect, repair, and rebuild oilfield downhole toolsConduct preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on shop machinery and service equipmentTroubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems (up to 480VAC)Operate and maintain CNC/manual machines, lathes, drill presses, grinders, torque machines, forklifts, and overhead cranesUse precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify tolerancesPerform hydrostatic and functional testing of tools and equipmentRead and interpret technical drawings, assembly prints, and manualsMaintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environmentRepair facility equipment as needed, including HVAC, plumbing, and sprinklersPrepare equipment for field deployment, shipping, and mobilizationComplete service documentation, repair logs, and maintenance reportsQualifications:High school diploma or equivalent; technical/trade school certificate preferred3 years combined experience in mechanical repair, oilfield tools, industrial maintenance, and electrical troubleshootingExperience with electrical systems up to 480VACStrong mechanical aptitude and experience performing tool rebuilds and equipment troubleshootingExperience with hydraulic and pneumatic systemsSkilled with hand tools, power tools, CNC/manual machines, and precision measuring instrumentsAbility to read technical manuals, work instructions, and engineering drawingsForklift and overhead crane experience preferredAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a shop environmentExcellent communication, teamwork, and safety awarenessRoles Encouraged to Apply:Oilfield Tool TechnicianDownhole Tool TechnicianMechanical TechnicianIndustrial Maintenance TechnicianShop TechnicianService Technician (Oil & Gas)Apply today to join Lofton Staffing and step into a role where your mechanical and electrical skills keep critical oilfield and industrial equipment running reliably!#INSJ Requirements:  Job Type:  Temp to Hire Post Date:  03/13/2026
