Electrical Maintenance TechnicianLocation: Cincinnati, OhioDepartment: MaintenanceJob PurposeThe Electrical Maintenance Technician maintains plant production and quality by ensuring the safe and reliable operation of electrical systems, apparatus, and electronic components within a chemical manufacturing facility.Key ResponsibilitiesOrganize and prioritize work by reviewing work orders and gathering required tools and materials.Perform preventive maintenance on robots, conveyors, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), transformers, voltage regulators, and plant machinery.Troubleshoot electrical systems using schematics, blueprints, manuals, and applicable electrical codes.Install new equipment, including power supply wiring and conduit between machinery and control systems.Diagnose and repair malfunctioning equipment such as motors, transformers, lighting systems, and automated components.Replace faulty relays, switches, motors, printed circuit boards, and sensing devices.Program and test automated machinery, including robots and PLC systems.Support production uptime by communicating preventive maintenance practices and monitoring compliance.Maintain inventory of electrical parts and supplies; coordinate ordering as needed.Ensure compliance with plant safety standards, electrical codes, and environmental regulations.Contribute to overall team performance and continuous improvement initiatives.QualificationsStrong experience in electronics troubleshooting and industrial electrical maintenanceKnowledge of PLCs and automated systemsAbility to read and interpret schematics and blueprintsProficiency with hand tools and electrical testing equipmentStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsAttention to detail and sound judgmentCommitment to safety in a chemical plant environmentPhysical & Work RequirementsAbility to work more than eight (8) hours in a day and 40+ hours per week as requiredMust be able to pass a respirator fit testAbility to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to industrial equipmentScheduleTechnicians participate in an on-call rotation for evenings and weekends (approximately one week per month).
