Summary:The environmental scientist position requires a dynamic individual with an environmental science, geology, biology, chemistry, or civil engineering background, the ability to work flexible hours (but primarily Monday-Friday), and a willingness to travel periodically. The position will be extremely active and will include a variety of field assignments and office work. Knowledge of environmental laws and regulations is a plus, as well as technical writing skills. The position requires an individual who is looking to advance their career opportunities and would like to be involved with a diversity of assignments including, but not limited to, collecting, synthesizing and documentation of data from investigative areas and assisting in the preparation of project documentation. Will provide support for field activities as needed for projects, which may include field site supervision, site inspections and collection of field samples for laboratory analysis. This position will be posted for 5 days or until filled.Essential Duties and Responsibilities - All Levels: (including but not limited to)Conduct and oversee site investigation and assessments in accordance with Federal and State regulatory guidelines and as directed by project staffDetermine data collection methods to be employed in site surveys and investigationsCollect and interpret environmental sampling data and provide field consultationsRead specifications such as GIS and CAD figures to determine project requirements and to help in planning proceduresPrepare technical plans and reports using Federal and State guidelinesAdhere to schedule and financial objectives as specified project managementIdentify and evaluate corrective actions for individual or groups of sitesEnhance company and organization reputation by accepting ownership for the team performance and adding value to assigned tasksProvide scientific and technical guidance, support, coordination, and/or oversight to project staff preparing written project documentationReview and document the processes necessary to obtain environmental permits, licenses, and other requirements necessary to achieve environmental restoration project objectivesReview and document environmental technical standards, guidelines, policies, and formal regulations to ensure proposals meet all appropriate requirementsExamine and inspect work progress, equipment, and construction sites to verify safety and to ensure that project specifications are metExamine and inspect sites and facilities to verify Federal and State regulatory requirements are metrecord information such as personnel, production, and operational data on specified forms and reports;
