Position Type: Administrative Support - Salaried/Multimedia & Website StrategistDate Posted: 2/11/2026Location: District Support CenterStarting Wage: $54,592+ annually (based on experience and degree)We are looking for applicants that have 3+ years experience in Marketing, Graphic Design, Multimedia and/or Journalism.This position is full time, year round and comes with paid time off, paid vacation, paid holidays and is benefit eligible. SUMMARY:The Multimedia & Website Strategist is responsible for concepting and designing the visual look for the district. This role will be involved in a large range of integrated communications that are compelling but also support and align with the brand identity. This role will strategize and brainstorm across departments and with schools to collectively produce strong creative designs that "tell our story". This role assists with managing district communications while ensuring the strategies serve the cultures of our diverse community and are in alignment with the District's vision, mission and goals. In collaboration with the Director of Communications & Engagement, this position communicates with various stakeholders (e.g. district and school personnel, board members, parents, caregivers, students, public, media, etc.) through various mediums (e.g. manual and electronic presentations, printed publications, e-mails, website, newsletters, video, etc.) to promote the work of the district and ensure a positive brand image is represented in all communications. This position will also manage district social media accounts, Content Management System (website), digital marketing, and video production.Develop assets and visual design for various external and internal communications such as print and web ads, promotions, direct mailings, magazines, brochures, digital signage, social media graphics, emails, and other materials. Utilize graphic design, photography, and other creative means to affect designs.Executes design work in a quick and efficient manner with great attention to detail and in alignment with the team's Editorial CalendarResearches projects to offer multiple approaches and conceptual ideas for the goalEnsures ideas are high-quality, relevant, intentional, and cost-effectiveKeen creative design and composition aesthetic with careful attention to detailAbility to conceptualize and execute design components that complement the suite of district-branded materials and help achieve the strategic goalsStrong communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate and defend design concepts, elements, and intentionsEnsures materials are accessible and translated to serve our families.Work with a Content Management System to ensure an exceptional user experienceMaintains, updates, and supports all content on the district website and school websites to increase effective and accurate communication between the District and its stakeholders.Provides support and training to web editors across the district.Creates and reviews metrics to monitor and analyze website traffic and uses insights to improve the user experienceMonitors district and school website content to ensure ADA compliance and address accessibility errorsKeeps up-to-date on best practices/current trends in web design, functionality, and responsivenessManage District social media accountsMaintains a steady cadence of content shared on the District's social media accounts to both inform and inspire the community.Displays sound judgment when responding to questions and comments, particularly in times of controversy or increased scrutiny.Monitors community sentiment online and contributes to the team's Environmental Scan to be proactive in addressing emerging issues.Effectively addresses misinformation and disinformation in a way that shows empathy and rebuilds trust.Create video content to showcase District programming and initiatives in a way that demonstrates the return on the community's investment.Manage the District's YouTube channel to share video content, ensuring videos are captioned and meet ADA compliance requirementsEdit and share screencast presentations for School Board meetings to promote transparency and community engagementContribute to the team's Environmental Scan and Media Monitoring tools to proactively address emerging concerns in the community and to build and maintain trust.Maintain the District's consistent brand identity and manage the creation and sharing of logos, letterhead, slide templates, email signatures, and other branded materials.Organize and maintain a photo library as well as the team's graphics filing systemContribute to the gathering and writing of content for District newsletters, both digital and printSupport the Director of Communications & Engagement in managing and leveraging additional partnerships and relationships with key vendors and community groupsAssist with media relations for the District, including through news releases, media advisories, and responding to inquiries.Contribute to the development and implementation of the Strategic Communications PlanSupport District leadership with communication needs in response to crisesAssist with special events, including planning, marketing, and executionConduct school visits for the purpose of taking photos and/or videos. Reasonable accommodations may be made to eligible individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat Pro), Video Software (iMovie, Premier Pro, Final Cut Pro X, or After Effects) and Google Workspace (Docs/Sheets/Slides/Gmail); experience with additional software, data management, or design platforms a plus.Experience working with website content management systems. Web design and user experience knowledge preferred.Bachelor's degree or equivalent in graphic design, digital media, marketing, or a related field, and a minimum of two years of work experience.COMMUNICATIONAND LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing, in a practical, non-technical manner. Ability to effectively respond to inquiries from staff and the community. In the absence of the Director of Communications & Engagement, execute crisis communications and day-to-day operations.OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITY: This position requires a demonstrated knowledge of graphic design principles, practice, and methods. Requires knowledge of the design, layout, and production of written, printed, and electronic materials. Requires advanced knowledge of tools such as Word, desktop publishing, graphic editing software, and web page editing programs. Experience with multimedia technology, video creation and editing, and its application to school district communication is desired. The work of this position uses the Strategic Communications Plan to guide priority work. This role assists with community engagement, events, and planning related to district initiatives and priorities.Work under pressure and meet deadlines. Initiate and organize work with self-direction. Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and School Board policies. This position requires some after-hours meetings and events.TEMPERAMENT:Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with staff across the district, media, and the community at large. Requires the ability to work under deadline pressure and handle simultaneous projects.
