Mechanical Assembly Technician

Position Summary:This position is responsible for assembling power distribution equipment, including sheet metal components, busbars, and related hardware. The role involves following established work instructions and using standard tools and equipment to complete assemblies in a production environment. This position works under general supervision and reports to the Assembly Lead.Key Responsibilities:Assemble mechanical structures and subassemblies for power distribution equipmentUse hand tools, power tools, torque drivers, and inspection tools to complete assembly tasksFollow work instructions, drawings, and established procedures to ensure accuracy and qualityInspect and verify completed work to meet quality standardsOperate forklifts and overhead cranes as needed (training provided)Support loading and unloading of materials and shipmentsAssist with packaging of finished productsCollaborate with team members to complete projects efficientlyPerform additional tasks as needed to support production goalsQualifications:Previous assembly or manufacturing experience preferred (1-3 years)Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detailAbility to read and interpret mechanical drawings and basic schematicsComfortable using standard tools and equipment in a manufacturing settingBasic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office and production systemsAbility to stay organized and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environmentWillingness to follow direction and work as part of a teamFlexibility to support other departments as needed (cross-training provided)Commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environmentBenefits:Medical/Dental/Vision/Disability effective first of the month after the hire datePTO accrual begins upon hireReferral bonuses100% employee-owned plus 401k with company match
