We offer competitive benefits, hybrid work schedules, new challenges, and learning experiences.Job DetailsPosition Summary:MarshBerry is seeking a Vice President, Transaction Advisory, based either our Beachwood OH, Grand Rapids MI, Plano TX, or Dana Point CA office. The Vice President is responsible for the execution of transaction advisory projects and will provide strategy and project oversight to MarshBerry's Transaction Advisory practice, ensuring that MarshBerry services are delivered effectively, efficiently, and consistently. In addition to the fulfilment of projects, the Vice President will collaborate with project leads to review project work and drive continual improvement and enhancement of MarshBerry transaction advisory processes, resources, and deliverables. MarshBerry is considered the leading buy- and sell-side adviser in the insurance brokerage industry. This role will be pivotal in expanding MarshBerry's buy-side advisory practice, which has significant growth opportunities.Responsibilities:Serve as client-facing lead on transaction advisory projects and maintain the client relationship to ensure successful project execution.Serve as subject matter expert for MarshBerry transaction advisory services, providing training, guidance, and technical support.Drive successful projects by developing and maintaining relationships with clients.Monitor the status of active transaction advisory projects, tracking projects from initiation to completion and ensuring that project timelines and commitments are met to client satisfaction.Develop a quality of earnings analysis by assessing the quality and sustainability of the target company's reported earnings and achievability of the forecast (adjusted earnings)Analyze target company data for working capital considerations and potential liabilities and risks which impact valuation.Effectively lead the engagement team in conversations with clients and lenders and act as the interface with senior executives of clients and target companies.Identify key risks and assess the strengths and weaknesses of the business and aid in the evaluation of the potential transaction in the context of the client's investment strategy. The analysis could also comprise the comparison of specific financial or performance metrics to industry benchmarks.Responsible for the quality of client deliverables, which include all aspects of financial due diligence, such as quality of earnings, working capital, production analysis and revenue testing.Collaborate with project leads to identify and understand factors impacting project status and develop strategies to effectively resolve issues.Identify and make improvements to processes, deliverables, and quality control measures to ensure accuracy, consistency, client satisfaction, and mitigation of risk; Stay abreast of industry trends and changes, incorporating best practices.Cultivate and maintain effective relationships with potential internal/external clients, partners and stakeholders that can directly or indirectly lead to revenue generation for all MarshBerry services.Other special projects, tasks or duties as assigned.Selection CriteriaEducation & Experience:Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting, Master's degree or CPA is a plus7+ years of experience in transaction advisory, financial due diligence, or audit.Insurance industry experience is a plus but not requiredOther:Self-motivated and has professional presenceProven experience in leading project teamsExperience developing and delivering effective presentations to small and large audiences.
