DataPerk is seeking a talented Network Technician Tier 2 to contribute to our mission of providing exceptional IT services tailored to the specific needs of our clients.Role and Responsibilities: General Networking Possess a strong understanding of general networking concepts and the OSI model. Install, troubleshoot, and repair structured cabling, and review technical drawings. Configure and troubleshoot DHCP and DNS (server and gateway). Perform latency checks, packet captures, and review overall network health. Switching/Routing Install, configure, and troubleshoot switches and routers (Fortinet, Meraki, Cisco). Understand broadcast domains and implement VLANs. Install, configure, and troubleshoot switch stacking and power failover. Understand and troubleshoot network topologies. Firewalls Install, configure, and troubleshoot firewalls and site to site VPNs (Fortinet, Meraki, Cisco). Install, configure and troubleshoot client SSL-VPNs (Fortinet, Meraki, Cisco). Experience maintaining licensing and configuration backup plan. Wireless Implement, configure, and troubleshoot wireless systems including Fortinet, Meraki, Cisco, and UniFi. Maintain licensing and backup configuration plans for wireless systems. At least five years of industry experience in Network Administration.
