Position Type: Full-Time, Hourly Non-ExemptDepartment: Mortgage OperationsReports To: Mortgage Branch ManagerSalary Range: $24.00-$34.00 per hour, depending on experiencePosition SummaryThe Junior Mortgage Loan Processor supports the mortgage team by assisting in the preparation and review of loan files prior to underwriting and closing. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals with less than two years of experience in mortgage processing. Under the supervision of the Mortgage Branch Manager and senior processors, the Junior Processor plays a key role in maintaining timely and accurate documentation, facilitating communication between parties, and helping ensure loan files meet company and regulatory standardsRequirementsKey ResponsibilitiesCollect, review, and organize borrower documents for loan processingInput and update loan file information into the loan origination systemPerform preliminary document reviews to ensure completeness and complianceFollow up with loan officers, clients, and third parties to obtain missing documentationAssist in preparing files for underwriting submissionCommunicate with internal departments to support loan progression and timely closingsMonitor pipeline reports and timelines to maintain workflow efficiencyMaintain detailed records and support audit-readiness of loan filesAdhere to company policies and industry regulations during document handling and communicationSupport senior processors and branch staff with other administrative tasks as neededRequired Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework in business or finance preferredLess than two years of experience in mortgage loan processing or related financial servicesStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsEffective written and verbal communication abilitiesBasic understanding of loan documentation and mortgage terminologyProficiency with Microsoft Office and willingness to learn loan origination systemsEqual Opportunity Statement: Texana Bank is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
