Colonial Behavioral Health serves the citizens of James City County, City of Poquoson, City of Williamsburg, and York County.We are currently recruiting for a Child and Adolescent - MH Intern position within our Children's Services Program. This position participate in group supervision, case consultations, and professional development activities. The paid internship will provide an opportunity to Gain valuable clinical experience and develop essential counseling skills. Receive regular supervision and feedback from experienced professionals. Job Duties Assist individual, family, and/or group therapy sessions with children and adolescents experiencing mental health and/or substance use disorders.Develop Individualized service and treatment plans and implement interventions.Collaborate with other members of the treatment team, including therapists, psychiatrists, and other professionals and community providers.Provide appropriate referrals for other services including medication management and/or case management within CBH.Provide psychoeducation to clients and families.Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.Uphold the Code of Ethics and Standards of Conduct Work Schedule Monday thru Friday (Hours Vary) Qualifications (EEO)Qualifications:Enrolled in or recently completed a graduate program in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field.Demonstrated interest in working with children and adolescents.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Commitment to ethical and professional standards.
