Local Outreach Coordinator

Location: Berean Baptist Church - BurnsvilleSchedule: 20 hours per week (Part-Time)Reports to: Missions & Outreach PastorJob Summary:Are you passionate about making a Gospel impact in our community? Do you have a heart for helping others and spreading the love of Christ? Berean is seeking a dedicated Local Outreach Coordinator to join us in our mission to serve and support those in need in our community. As the Local Outreach Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in organizing and implementing outreach initiatives that address the needs of our local mission field. You will work closely with volunteers, staff members, and local partners to develop and execute ministries that foster Berean's engagement in our community as well as spread the love of Christ through the Gospel.Key Responsibilities:Event Planning & ExecutionCollaborate with internal staff partners to facilitate eventsManage event logistics for local outreach eventsPlan and execute events, organizing logistics and volunteersMobilizes disaster response actions relating to events in the communityCommunication & Relationship ManagementAct as the primary point of contact for all local outreach-related communicationsProvides communication to all outreach partnersConnects Berean members to outreach opportunitiesEngage Berean congregants in our Missions and Outreach strategyUpdates the Berean website/communications outlets (or provides content) with outreach and missions informationPartnership DevelopmentEstablish new partnerships with organizations in the communityFacilitates the Outreach Partner pipelineAssists in identifying and cultivating relationships with new outreach partners, internally and externallyAdministrative & Departmental SupportManages department receipts and communicates ministry-related purchases to the finance departmentEngages in Missions and Outreach department meetings and activities as neededEngages in All-Staff meetings and activitiesTraining & Volunteer DevelopmentAssists in identifying training needs for volunteers and outreach/missions partnersCoordinates training opportunities and local outreach-related classesData, Trends & Community InsightKeeps up on local trends and demographic dataSeeks out information on local outreach needs in the communityEducation:High School Diploma/GEDBachelor Degree in a related field (preferred) Qualifications:Ability to organize work, set priorities, and work independently Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask Effective oral and written communication skills Microsoft Office ProficientCollaborative mindset Flexible in terms of workflow and scheduleAgreement with the Berean Baptist Church statement of faithMaintain or establish membership at Berean Baptist ChurchOther Qualifications:Must be able to work prolonged periods at a deskMust be able to lift 10-15lbs at a timePersonal Qualities:Personal relationship with Jesus Christ Evidence of growing maturity as a disciple of Christ Gospel Centered and Evangelistic mindsetPassion for MinistryRelationship focused Benefits:403(b) Retirement Minnesota Paid Leave Employee Sick & Safe TimeWho We Are:Berean is a Gospel-centered community of hope with the Bible as our foundation.
