Tensar is a world-leading manufacturer and provider of ground stabilization and soil reinforcement solutions.What You'll DoAssist in systematically improving core competence and core technology for Tensar manufacturing and product development processesPrototype and pilot production of new products, product changes, and enhancements in coordination with the Manufacturing and Quality ControlDocument and report/suggest changesWork with leadership on ways to improve & sustain processesCreate/Review/Update existing process flow layoutsWork closely with other on the CMC Team work on process improvement initiatives & projectsIdentify, evaluate, and recommend cost saving opportunities by identifying process, quality and safety related improvement projectsPrepare and maintain clear and organized documentation of each audit performed, including results of procedures, observations and conclusionsWhat You'll NeedMust be at least 18 years oldBasic knowledge of polyolefin or thermoplastic melt extrusion and processing, preferably polypropylene, polyethylene, and PET resinsProduct testing and Research and Development experience preferredAbility to manipulate and utilize Working DrawingsProficient in MS Office programs - Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, VisioStrong communication and interpersonal skills, highly motivated, and self-starterPresentation/Report on an improvement project at the end of internshipYour EducationCurrently pursuing Bachelor of Science in materials or polymers field, with related course work and laboratory workWe are CMC, a Fortune 500® company at the leading edge of our industry.
