About the RoleElite 11 and Area Code Baseball are two of the most iconic platforms in amateur sports, shaping the next generation of elite quarterbacks and baseball players. You're joining a passionate team, committed to producing best in class experiences and content. What we don't have yet is someone who can take what they're creating, build a monetization strategy around it, and connect it to real revenue. This is not a traditional content marketing or social media role, and it's not a pure executive role. We are looking for a working leader. Someone with enough production literacy to command creative respect from the team, and enough business acumen to own a P&L, close a partnership deal, and build revenue models from scratch. The right person has probably spent 5+ years at a comparable organization, has done more with less than their peers, and has hit a ceiling that has nothing to do with their ability. They're ready to own something. This is that opportunity.Key ResponsibilitiesContent Monetization & Revenue OwnershipDesign and own a comprehensive content monetization strategy across video, social, editorial, and experiential formats, with direct accountability to revenue outcomes.Build and manage monetization models including sponsorships, branded series, licensing, subscriptions, events, and platform partnerships.Personally identify, pitch, and close content-driven sponsorship and licensing deals. This is not a role where you hand off to a sales team, you are in the room.Collaborate with the Head of Partnership Sales, to provide content opportunities for traditional event and experiential sponsorships.Own the content P&L: manage budgets, track ROI, and report on content-driven revenue performance to executive leadership.Establish clear performance benchmarks and ROI frameworks for all content investments.Identify high-value content categories (athlete storytelling, behind-the-scenes, training, data, NIL-focused content, etc.) and build the business case for each.Creative Direction & Team LeadershipProvide hands-on creative direction to the existing production team, sitting in the edit bay, shaping story capture in real time at events, and elevating output quality without micromanaging craft.Build scalable production playbooks for events, camps, showcases, and year-round storytelling.Support the management of internal and external creators, editors, videographers, and production partners.Ensure consistent storytelling, tone, and brand standards across Elite 11 and Area Code Baseball.Define what the content team looks like as the platform scales.Audience Growth & Platform DevelopmentGrow owned audiences across platforms (X, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, email, web, etc.).Develop fan funnels that convert casual viewers into engaged community members and customers.Leverage data and analytics to optimize engagement, retention, and lifetime value.Identify platform partnership opportunities and negotiate direct deals where applicable.Brand & Partner IntegrationCollaborate with commercial and partnerships teams to create sponsor-ready content platforms.Translate brand equity and athlete access into premium sponsorship and licensing opportunities.Work closely with athletes, coaches, and partners to authentically integrate brand storytelling.Serve as a strategic partner to executive leadership, sales, and marketing on all contentrelated revenue initiatives.Success MetricsContent-Driven Revenue: Percentage of total revenue directly generated or materially influenced by content initiatives.Return on Content Investment (ROCI): Ratio of content-attributed revenue to total content production and distribution costs.Owned Audience Growth & Engagement: Year-over-year growth and engagement depth across owned and controlled channels.Scalable Content IP: Number and revenue contribution of repeatable, sponsor-ready content franchises.Deal Velocity: Number of content-driven sponsorship or licensing deals originated and closed by this role directly.Ideal Candidate ProfileYou've probably done more with less than your peers and are looking to take the next step. Has owned a revenue line, managed a content-related budget with accountability to outcomes, and directly sold and closed sponsorship or licensing deals. Can walk us through a specific deal or revenue initiative they personally drove from concept to close.Proven experience building and monetizing content platforms in sports, media, entertainment, or creator-led businesses, with results they can point to specifically.Has led small creative teams before, people who are better at certain craft elements, and knows how to get the best out of them without micromanaging. Understands their job is to shape what the content becomes commercially, while supporting the team to execute the craft.Enough production literacy to sit in an edit bay and give meaningful direction, and to work alongside field producers at events to shape story capture in real time.Has a track record of building revenue streams from storytelling and audience access, not just growing engagement metrics.Deep understanding of digital media economics, platform algorithms, and audience development.Has worked in a lean environment where resources were limited and output still had to be high, not someone used to having a full production team and agency support at their disposal.Strong editorial instincts paired with genuine business acumen. Comfortable in both a creative brief and a deal negotiation.Experience working with high-profile talent, athletes, or IP-driven brands strongly preferred.Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment where the answer is rarely handed to you.Compensation & BenefitsBase Salary: $110,000 - $150,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition to base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives. Incentive compensation is contingent upon meeting established performance expectations and business objectives.
