Job Responsibilities Major Responsibilities: Packaging, labeling, folding, sorting and counting as directed. Assembles all sorts of products per verbal and written instructions. Inspects products to assure high quality. Follows and enforces all company procedures. Performs other duties as requested.Requirements Knowledge of general arithmetic (adding/subtracting) is requiredPreferred Qualifications Preferred ability to read and write in EnglishEquipment Used Packaging and labeling machines, pallet jack.Aptitudes/skills/temperament Ability to perceive pertinent details in objects or in pictorial or graphic material; to make visual comparisons and discriminations and see slight differences in shapes, shading of figures and width and lengths of lines. Ability to quickly learn how to operate customer's' own equipment. General learning ability. The ability to "catch on" or understand instructions and their underlying principles. The ability to reason and make judgments. Ability to understand meaning of words and ideas associated with them and to use them effectively; to comprehend language; to understand relationships between words; to understand the meanings of whole sentences and paragraphs; to present information or ideas clearly. Ability to move eyes hands and fingers rapidly, accurately and precisely.Working conditions Work is performed in a large enclosed warehouse with an even concrete floor surface. The area is heated and has natural ventilation. The temperature will fluctuate depending on locations within the department. Dust and dirt are controlled by daily cleaning of the work area. Some items may be soiled/dirty, or broken. These are either cleaned or disposed of following established procedures. A variety of household cleaning products are used. Work is completed independently but in cooperation with the whole department. The noise volume is moderately high throughout the day, depending on the activity, equipment in operation, radio operation, and television testing. Material handling equipment (forklift, hand truck, moveable containers) may be operated in or near work areas.Emotional Effort Moderate: Occasional short deadlines. Work environment is occasionally hectic with occasional high activityPhysical Requirements The job involves light work which requires lifting no more than 20 lbs and frequent lifting and/or carrying items weighing 10 lbs.
