This may be the job for you.Welder / Fabricator 1st Shift / Mon - Fri / 7:00am - 3:30pm $21.50 - $25.00 /per hr Simpsonville / Fountain Inn, SC AreaPrideStaff - Greenville is seeking a highly skilled and versatile Welder / Fabricator on behalf of a premier provider of construction site tools and custom-engineered equipment.In this role, you will work to create custom-designed power distribution centers and structural frameworks tailored to client specifications. This is a role for a true craftsman who is comfortable working in a rugged, industrial shop environment. The facilities are not climate-controlled, and the workspace is busy, dirty, and fast-paced-ideal for those who value a "get-it-done" culture.Welder / Fabricator Primary Responsibilities include:Your main responsibility is the high-precision fabrication and welding of structural steel components, ensuring every custom build meets ASME standards and client specifications.Structural Fabrication: Build and assemble heavy-duty structural steel frameworks and enclosures from raw materials based on technical drawings.Multi-Process Welding: Perform expert-level TIG, MIG, and Stick (SMAW) welding, as well as Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW) on various metal thicknesses.Precision Cutting: Execute Air Carbon Arc Cutting, ARC Gouging, and Plasma Cutting to prepare materials for assembly and repair.Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret complex blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to ensure 100% accuracy in fabrication.Pipe & Framework Welding: Perform specialized Pipe Welding and TIG Welding for integrated equipment systems and power centers.Layout & Fit-up: Conduct precise tack welding and fit-up of components, ensuring all angles and dimensions align with engineering requirements.Quality & Safety: Adhere to ASME standards and OSHA guidelines, ensuring all welds are structurally sound and meet the highest standards of quality.Welder / Fabricator Required Skills include:Technical Expertise: Proficiency in SMAW, TIG, and FCAW techniques; experience with Torch Cutting and Pipefitting is required.Equipment Mastery: Skilled in the use of Plasma Cutters, Right-Angle Grinders, and specialized welding rigs; experience with Drill Press operations is a plus.Mechanical Aptitude: Strong understanding of Millwright techniques and the ability to perform complex brazing.Work Environment Readiness: Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled facility and a rugged, industrial shop environment exposed to the elements.Certification Knowledge: Familiarity with ASME standards and the ability to pass a structural welding test.Physical Stamina: Ability to handle the physical demands of heavy metal fabrication, including lifting, bending, and maneuvering large steel components throughout an 8-hour shift.Join Us.PrideStaff Company Overview PrideStaff (Greenville location) is a locally-owned staffing & placement firm with a strong reputation as a fun-loving, quality-focused service provider.PrideStaff is among the highest rated staffing agencies in the area.Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $21.50 - $25.00 Per Hour
