Project Manager, OperationsHouston, TXTHE POSITION: Project Manager, OperationsWe are seeking an operations-minded Project Manager to drive cross-functional initiatives that improve how we run and scale our business, with a strong focus on process, data, and systems. This role supports our operations organization at a residential solar services company, working across fully cloud-based systems and tools.Reporting to the Director of Strategic Operations, this position plays a key role in bringing structure and momentum to operational priorities. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-moving environments, is comfortable navigating ambiguity, and enjoys turning ideas into clear action plans.This role is primarily focused within Operations, with occasional coordination across supporting teams such as Finance, Legal, and Technology.This is a high-visibility role with meaningful exposure across the organization. Key responsibilities include:What You Will DoDrive Operational InitiativesLead end-to-end execution of defined projects within OperationsTranslate priorities into structured plans, timelines, and deliverablesTrack progress, manage risks, and ensure commitments are metMaintain momentum and accountability across stakeholdersStand up and run structured projects to improve case handling, field operations, and billing/collections workflowsFacilitate AlignmentRun effective project meetings and working sessionsClarify scope, roles, and responsibilitiesProvide clear and concise status updatesEscalate challenges with recommended solutionsPartner with Operations leaders to define problem statements, success metrics, and implementation plans for process and system changesLeverage Data to Drive DecisionsAnalyze operational data to inform project planning, prioritization, and executionBuild clear, structured views of project progress and operational metricsCreate simple dashboards or visualizations to support stakeholder alignmentUse data insights to identify risks, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunitiesPull and combine data from cloud systems (e.g., CRM, ticketing, billing) to build simple, accurate views of operational performance and project impactUse Excel or PowerBI to build lightweight dashboards and tracking mechanisms; comfortable doing their own first-pass analysis and querying data from enterprise data warehouses using SQLImprove Execution & ProcessIdentify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve coordinationSupport process documentation and implementation effortsEnsure successful transition of projects into steady-state operationsSupport change management efforts, including communication planning and adoption trackingCoordinate changes across CRM, O&M, and billing tools when process improvements require configuration or integration updatesIdentify opportunities to apply automation and AI (e.g., workflow automation, smarter routing, better self-service) and partner with Technology to pilot and scale themWork With Systems & ToolsCollaborate with IT and vendors on light configuration changes, testing, and rollout planning for operational systems (no deep coding required, but strong systems fluency expected)Clearly document process and system changes in a way that operations teams actually use.QUALIFICATIONS4 to 7 years of experience in operations or project management, preferably in services, energy, or other recurring-revenue environmentsProven track record leading cross-functional initiatives from idea through implementation in a fast-paced settingStrong analytical skills with hands-on experience interpreting operational data and turning it into clear recommendationsExperience building dashboards or data visualizations using Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools; comfortable doing first-pass analysis independently and querying data from enterprise data warehouses using SQLAbility to use data to drive insights, influence decisions, and measure the impact of operational changesStrong organizational and execution skills; consistently drives follow-through and meets commitments across multiple stakeholdersAbility to influence and drive accountability without direct authority, including with senior stakeholdersExcellent communication and facilitation skills, including running structured meetings and delivering concise written and verbal updatesExperience with project and work management tools (e.g., Asana, Smartsheet, or similar) and comfortable learning new systems in a fully cloud-based environmentStrong Excel skills (e.g., lookups, pivots, basic modeling) and solid PowerPoint or equivalent presentation skillsExperience working with or around automation, RPA, or AI-enabled tools is a plus; able to translate operational needs into clear, actionable requirements for technical teamsExperience working within Salesforce or other CRM platforms is preferred; familiarity with Salesforce-based tools such as SiteTracker is a plusEDUCATIONBachelor's degree required.
