This highly visible role is responsible for managing U.S. tax compliance, treasury operations, and banking relationships, with a strong emphasis on the automotive industry. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in U.S. federal and state tax regulations, cash flow management, covenant compliance, and financial reporting, and thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This role will play a key part in supporting strategic initiatives, ensuring regulatory compliance, and strengthening financial operations across the organization.Details about the role:Work location: Shelby Township, MIWork type: On-site at local Paslin locations. Not available for remote work.Expected hours of work: Typical work schedules for this site are flexible around core business hours of 8am-5pm, Monday to Friday. This role has global responsibilities and will occasionally require working non-standard hours to accommodate collaboration with colleagues across multiple time zones, including Asia.Overtime: This position is for regular, full-time work and may require coming in early, working late, or working on weekends to meet the needs of the business. Travel: This position may require occasional travel to customer sites or local travel to other Paslin locations.Work Environment: This position operates in an office environment.Direct Reports: This position reports to the Director of Finance.Physical Demands: The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use close visual focus, sit for up to 2-hour periods, use computers and other basic office equipment, and to move around the work spaces.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage all aspects of U.S. federal and state tax compliance, including preparation and review of corporate tax filings, estimated payments, and extensionsMonitor, interpret, and assess the impact of changes in U.S. tax legislation on the company's tax positionSupport tax planning initiatives, including R&D tax credits, group tax strategies, and optimization under evolving tax lawsManage cash flow forecasting, liquidity planning, and working capital optimizationMaintain and strengthen relationships with banking partners; oversee debt covenant compliance and reportingCollaborate cross-functionally to support financial audits, tax provisions, treasury reporting, and compliance activitiesDrive process improvements across finance operations, including expense management systems and reporting toolsSupport the Director of Finance with strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysisCandidate Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field(Master'sdegree preferred)7+ years of progressive experience in finance and tax roles, including5+ years in the automotive or manufacturing industryStrong working knowledge of U.S. federal and state tax regulations, including corporate income tax and R&D creditsProven experience managing banking relationships, debt structures, and covenant complianceDemonstrated success in cash flow management and liquidity planning in a complex business environmentCPA or CFA designation preferredAdvanced proficiency with ERP systems, Excel, and tax or financial reporting softwareExcellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills, with the ability to partner effectively across the organizationWhat's in It for You:Competitive pay and great benefits.
